Our services

Since COVID became a part of our lives back in March of 2020, The Art Therapy Project changed our in-person art therapy programming into virtual TeleArt Therapy sessions in order to continue providing support for our clients while also ensuring their safety during these harrowing times. Today, as the world continues changing, we adapt and tailor each of our programs to meet the needs of our partner sites and the clients they serve. Some of our groups continue to run online as TeleArt Therapy, and some have returned to meeting in person.

To provide the most flexibility as we work to meet the needs of our clients, we are developing a hybrid studio space where group participants can join art therapy together both in person and online through Zoom. This will allow us to invite our long-term groups for veterans, sexual assault survivors and individuals from the LGBTQIA+ community back to the studio again. Offering this hybrid option allows for these cohesive groups to continue their work together, giving individuals the option to attend in person while others choose to remain on telehealth. Our team will continue to ship art supplies directly to our clients to provide the necessary art materials to participate in an effective art therapy session remotely, and through the hybrid option secure a level of care and safety for our clients and clinicians.

We understand that for many reasons, some clients feel that TeleArt Therapy is working for them and will choose to remain out of the studio while others are excited for their return to our space. The Art Therapy Project is grateful for the ongoing support from our clients, program partners, funders, volunteers, and art therapists as we navigate our way through this challenging time. We are looking forward to seeing all our clients back in person as soon as it is safe for all.
