The Art Therapy Project (TATP), a New York nonprofit mental health organization providing free group art therapy to individuals affected by trauma, is proud to announce Spring Spectacular 2023—an evening celebrating artmaking, community, and the healing power of art. The nonprofit hopes to raise essential funds to continue to help address the city’s growing mental health crisis.

The Spring Spectacular 2023 will take place on Thursday, April 20, 2023, from 6:00 – 8:30 pm at the Mastercard Technology Hub, located at 150 Fifth Avenue. Guests can look forward to a live art-making session with artist Jennifer Glover Riggs, an interactive art-making experience, and a live auction. They will also hear directly from a TATP client about how art therapy helped them through a difficult time.

Hosted by co-chairs Lauren Christian, Director, PwC and Nicole Turner, Senior Vice President, Mastercard Technology Hubs, the Spring Spectacular 2023 aims to raise funds to provide free art therapy for populations who typically do not have access to mental health support.

TATP works with individuals who have experienced trauma, including system-involved youth, adult and adolescent survivors of sexual trauma, 9-11 survivors, caregivers, veterans, and the LGBTQIA+ community. Since the pandemic began, TATP has also provided free art therapy to frontline and essential workers.

The Art Therapy Project’s event is generously supported and sponsored by Mastercard, Morgan Stanley, The Andrews Organization and ORSID Realty.
